Florida circuit courts hear genuine emergencies quickly, but the bar is high: an emergency generally means a child faces imminent harm, abduction, or removal from the state, not a disagreement that can wait for a regular hearing. Filing something as an emergency that is not one can hurt your credibility with the judge.
